Melissa Laws

My name is Melissa Laws but I’m known to everyone as Mel and I have been an accountant for 22 years (I guess that makes me old). I am a Chartered Accountant as well as an SMSF specialist.

Having worked with a wide range of businesses and individuals I enjoy helping all my clients meet their accounting and business goals.  I have a genuine interest in computer software and having worked with a wide range of accounting programs I am confident working with any program, including Xero.

Over the years I have gained extensive experience in tax return preparation, trust account audits, SMSF administration, SMSF audits, but I really enjoy creating business management systems as well as training clients and staff in MYOB and Xero.

Outside of work I have 2 children and a husband who runs his own business.  In whatever spare time I have left, I enjoy all water sports and netball.
